The Southern Illinois Heart Institute was established in 1996 with a special purpose in mind...to provide high quality cardiac care, close to home. SIHI was formed when St. Elizabeth's Hospital, one of the premier hospitals in the state of Illinois, joined forces with Cardiology Consultants, Ltd, one of the largest groups of cardiology physicians in Southern Illinois. The result was a world-class medical program with an unwavering commitment to providing the very highest levels of cardiac care.
